A life sized paper peacock sculpture. The main body was carved from foam from a metal support and armature. The head, legs and claws were sculpted from milliput. All of the feathers were individually hand cut, painted and glued onto the main body.
The base of this model was made with a clock ring fixed to some plywood, with the main central support fitted through two books. this was finished with some black fabric.
The tail was built from a wooden support, with long water reeds glued onto the wood, which had paper feathers glued on the ends. The tail was bulked out using some pampas grass. The peacocks paper eye feathers were then layered on top of each other working its way up the back, to the neck and head.
